A year-long project funded by Region Skåne, spent with a group of pre-schoolers. Through the camera, in the photographs, the children reach into the world — they explore and develop their motor skills while experiencing the laws of physics. In climbing and running, on bikes and swings, they encounter gravity, acceleration, movement, and centrifugal force. They have combed through grass and bushes in search of ladybirds and earthworms. Empathy and biology at play: ”Where should the ladybird live?”

With torches, mirrors, and prisms, the children observe their surroundings. Light, shadows, and reflections rearrange the room. Letting a gaze filter through a sheer fabric brings sensory and visual delight.

Stories take shape around friendships and relationships, the exploration of physical and optical phenomena, daydreams, deeply concentrated wonder, sandpit play and construction. The stories run like a rhizome through space and time. Moments of enchantment and fascination. Ongoing, without beginning, middle, or end. Arising between children, materials, spaces, and environments — together with the photographic process.
